The world can feel challenging at times. Some days feel overwhelming for no reason at all.

And still: in the moment a hard thought turns piercing, no one else can think it through for you. That part is yours — like a new challenge to overcome. Rethread is the tool for that exact moment — right when you need it, not hours after it’s passed.

from the maker

why I built Rethread

For a long time, I lived with depression and anxiety. Some days were as heavy as they come — hopeless, disconnected, hard to climb out of.

I did the work. Years of therapy, the worksheets, the homework — much of it paid for out of pocket. It helped. It also taught me something hard: when a thought turns sharp, you’re usually alone with it. No appointment is happening in that moment, and the homework is yours to do. Doing it by yourself, right when it’s hardest, is the hardest part of all.

So I needed something else. Something in my pocket, not on a calendar. Something I could afford. Something private enough to hold the thoughts I never wanted to repeat — or explain to anyone — and easy to close the second I needed to.

I couldn’t find it. So I built it. Rethread is the tool I wished I’d had.

It’s worked for me, and my hope is that it works for you too. For those going through challenges right now, I’ve stood where you’re standing — and I can confidently say, you’re not alone in this.

who it's for

this is for you if…

  • You tend to be hard on yourself. A harsh inner critic and intrusive negative thoughts interrupt your days.
  • You sometimes feel down or anxious, and long for a sense of peace.
  • You’re ready to do the work. You believe small, repeated efforts compound into real change.
  • You want to take an active role in your own wellbeing — working privately through your own thoughts, without it costing a fortune.
  • You’ve done therapy in the past, and journaling feels therapeutic for you.

how it works

the five R's

Rethread starts from a simple idea: our thoughts shape how we feel. Change the thought, and the feeling can soften.

  1. 01

    Recognize

the trigger — what happened? walk through the moment.

  2. 02

    Reveal

the thoughts and feelings underneath, however raw.

  3. 03

    Review

the thinking traps coming up for you.

  4. 04

    Revisit

with compassion — speak to yourself like a good friend.

  5. 05

    Rethread

the original thought into something kinder, and truer.

Over time, you'll see which traps show up most for you — and how much lighter a thought can feel once you've worked it through.

the work is hard. you got this — and we got you.

Reframing a thought takes effort — and you're not doing it alone. We're here to help, one step at a time. No streaks, no pressure; just a practice that compounds, quietly, into days that feel a little lighter.

The time you give yourself is the best return you'll ever get — paid back in peace, in steadier days, and hopefully, more inner joy.
